What an ATS resume checker looks for
Applicant tracking systems read your resume for structure and keywords. The score checks those basics, section by section. Pick a section to see what we look for in it.
Contact details software can find
- Email and phone in plain text, not in an image or the page header
- A city or region, so location filters work
- A link to your profile, if you have one

How to improve your resume score
Added the keywords the job post uses.
Put a number on every experience bullet.
Renamed headings to the ones software expects.
The quickest gains usually come from three fixes: add the keywords from the job post that you can honestly claim, put a number on your experience bullets, and use standard headings such as Experience, Education and Skills.
Illustrative example. Re-check as many times as you like — it's free.

ATS resume checker FAQs
Is this the score an employer's system gives me?
No tool can see inside every employer's system. The score checks the same things most parsers depend on — readable text, clear sections, keywords, measurable results — so you know what to fix before you apply.
Which files can I upload?
PDF or DOCX, up to 5 MB. Or check any resume you've built here, no upload needed.
Does anyone else see my resume?
No. Nothing is shared with employers. The checker reads your file to work out the score and does not keep it. If you are signed in, only your latest score is saved to your account. An employer sees your CV only if you choose to send it with an application.
What is an ATS score?
It shows how well an applicant tracking system can read and match your resume. It is a guide to what to fix, not a pass or fail.
What is a good ATS score?
There is no official pass mark, because every employer's system is different. Use the report to clear the flagged items rather than chase a number.
Can I check a CV as well as a resume?
Yes. A CV and a resume are checked the same way. Upload either as a PDF or DOCX.
How do I improve my resume score?
Fix the flagged items first: use standard headings, add keywords from the job post that you can honestly claim, put numbers on experience bullets, and save as a PDF or DOCX with real text.
How is my CV rated?
Your CV rating shows how clearly applicant tracking software can read it: section structure, headings, keywords and formatting. The report is a section-by-section CV assessment and review of what to fix first.
